Erling Torvits
Little is known about Erling Torvits, in the last 20 years I couldnt find much information about the de Danish Designer. He was born in 1925 according to some sources. the only thing that we are certain is that he created some iconic furniture that marked the danish mid century design such as this spectacular secretary desk.
According to the danish design museum he was produced by
Dana Møbelfabrik sitting furniture such as armchairs
Anton Kildebergs coffee table
Heltborg Møbler coffee tables and side tables
Klim Møbelfabrik secretary desks
Knud Nielsen sideboard
Sorø Stolefabrik dining chairs

Secretary desk designed by Erling Torvits and produced by Klim Møbelfabrik according to some sources such as Danish auction houses and other Danish sources. It is an iconic mid century Danish design furniture with many small details such as a small door, a magazine or discs holder, small drawers. Lot of interesting details.
The base of this unit is composed of 3 drawers and on top of it a desk area that can be pulled out.
on top of the desk area there are various spaces, drawers, a hidden space and a vertical division for documents or books.
It comes with its original Cites from the Danish Naturstyrelsen but we can neither confirm nor deny if it is Rio Rosewood it might as well be any other rosewood species or even any wood that resembles rosewood such as Pau fero.
We haven't restored the furniture yet, it is in its original condition with some wear and marks due to age and use. it is in the same condition as the day that we purchased it in Denmark.
it can be purchased as it is or restored, then the price will be adjusted accordingly.
