Kurt Ostervig 1912 - 1986
A Danish furniture designer that marked the mid century Danish modern design with his creativity.
Kurt Ostervig is the father of the Japandi style before its creation.
The fusing of minimalism with danish craftsmanship and the use of japanese forms with organic fluid shapes defined his mastery and influenced the 20th century design and inspired so many designers to come.
He was mostly produced by Jason Møbler
but also created iconic designs for
Randers Møbelfabrik
Brande Møbelfabrik
during the 1950s and 1960s
This is one of the most stunning nesting tables from the Mid-century Danish modern design. It is composed by a largest table of a nest of 3 tables including two smaller tables. It is in its original condition the legs and structure are made of solid ziricote and the top is covered with a patterned ziricote veneer
This set of nesting tables was produced by Jason Møbler in 1958 and there are in the same original condition untouched as the day that they were made.
The nesting tables are in their original condition, not restored we just cleaned and waxed them. Keeping the original patina from 1958.
This set wasn't stripped, not sanded and it wasn't touched by any machinery.
