Vintage Murano geode glass bowl

Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy in the 1950s - 1960s

This piece was made using the sommerso technique developed in Murano. A combination of multiple layers of colored glass encased within without mixing the colored layers. creating a stunning combination of blended colors encased in an angular block of glass.
